Happy Boss’s Day 2017! At FreeConferenceCall.com, We’re Celebrating In Style

What Is Boss’s Day?

Boss’s Day is celebrated on the 16th of October every year as an observance holiday in the UnitedStates. Other countries have adopted the holiday in recent years, so this party has truly gone global. Boss’s Day is the day where employees get to show a little gratitude and appreciation to bosses and supervisors.

Typically, employees gift their boss a card, flowers or gift certificate; at FreeConferenceCall, however, typical just doesn’t cut it. We decided to show our appreciation for every boss under our roof by delivering a shaved ice truck (no, they don’t get to keep it) directly to headquarters.

Talk about the best employees ever! Not that we’re biased.

A Little History

Let’s take it back to the beginning. Patricia Bays Haroski founded the first Boss’s day back in 1958. Haroski was an employee of State Farm Insurance in Deerfield, Illinois. She established the holiday in memory of her late father, picking October 16th in tribute as it had been his birthday. Haroski envisioned Boss’s Day to be one in which employees could not only share their appreciation for bosses — they could also improve internal working relationships.

And with that holiday history lesson, we hope that everyone has an enjoyable Boss’s Day and celebrates with FreeConferenceCall.com panache. In other words, get creative with your displays of gratitude!

Finally, in the true spirit of Boss’s Day, smile at your supervisor. Laugh with your boss. Build healthier relationships. Happy Boss’s Day!
