The content below is an internal FreeConferenceCall.com email. No, we don't usually post these. But this was just too good not to share. It's a heartfelt reminder from our president, Joshua Lowenthal — a reminder that not only our team but every single one of us is acknowledged, respected, powerful and intelligent.
Hello FCC Family -
Today across the planet is International Women’s Day! We’re a global company who celebrates its customers and employees alike, and simply will not ignore the remarkable social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women around the world. We recognize and enthusiastically support the ongoing struggle for equal rights.
At FreeConferenceCall.com, our customers teach us that women are leaders, innovators, and more-often-than-not the conscience of our souls. We recognize that sexism hurts everyone, and that when gender equality is valued, everyone is better off. Everyone.
So no matter what your gender or position in our shared corner of the world, step up, speak out and take fearless action against inequality. In the end, I find Australian feminist Dale Spender sums it up perfectly:
“Feminism has fought no wars. It has killed no opponents. It has set up no concentration camps, starved no enemies, practiced no cruelties. Its battles have been for education, for the vote, for better working conditions…for safety on the streets…for child care, for social welfare…for rape crisis centers, women’s refuges, reforms in the law. If someone says, “Oh, I’m not a feminist,” I ask, “Why, what’s your problem?””
Happy International Women’s Day — to all the women and men at FreeConferenceCall.com.
Josh Lowenthal
