Creating a URL link for your recorded conference calls is quick and easy with FreeConferencing.com. This feature is great for sharing conference calls with those that missed it, would like to listen to it again or for simple recap. This URL link can be sent out via email, posted on your website, blog, Facebook and Twitter.

How to Record Conference Calls using Web Controls

Using the FreeConferencing.com online web controls to record your conference call is easy. Once the conference is recorded, it is available via the playback number (provide upon registration and listed in your account), web playback (covered next week) and can be downloaded to your computer to use at your discretion. These options allow you to share the recording with those that may have missed the call or for recap.

To begin recording login to your FreeConferencing.com account at the time of your conference and set the Live Conference button to the On position. Next, click the Recording button to On and a prompt will announce that recording has been activated. To stop and save the recording, click Off and a prompt will announce that recording has been stopped. Recap Conferences or Make it Creative with the Broadcaster

FreeConferencing.com comes with a full suite of tools for hosting professional meetings. This week we are covering The Broadcaster and Record features. In this post you will learn more on how the Broadcaster allows you to play recorded audio files during live conferences using the In-Conference Broadcast window found on the right of the Conference View page. You may broadcast any previously recorded conference stored in your account and any .WAV or MP3 files. To play a file while hosting a call, make sure you are logged into your account. Open the Broadcaster window and click on the green play icon located to the left of recording file. As the recording or audio file is being played, use the tools located on the left hand side to pause, stop and resume. How to Conduct Free Screen Sharing Meetings with FreeConferencing.com

One of the newest features to FreeConferencing.com has been the addition of Free Screen Sharing. A While on a conference call, you have the option to conduct a Screen Sharing meeting. Follow the instructions below to start a Screen Sharing meeting with FreeConferencing.com.

  1. Log into your FreeConferencing.com account.
  2. Click the 'Invite Others' button on the left hand side of the Conference View page to send conference details to participants using your preferred email client. A Instruct participants to dial into the conference and click on the meeting link in order to view your screen during the call.
  3. When ready to begin a meeting, click on the Screen Sharing tab found on the right hand side of the Conference View page and launch the application.
  4. A Screen Sharing Controls window will display from which you may choose the different programs to show your participant during the online meeting. To manage your applications, click the 'Select Items to Share' button.Share button
  5. Begin the online meeting by clicking the 'Start Meeting' button.Start the meeting button
  6. All joined participants are now able to view what you are sharing on your computer screen.
  7. Anytime during the online meeting you and your participants can send instant messages to everyone that is logged on using the Chat feature provided on the Screen Sharing Controls window. All of this can be done while you share a screen

FreeConferencing.com's Customizable Conference Preferences

One of the added benefits to having a FreeConferencing account is the ability to control Conference Preferences.  This feature allows you to change standard conference function, such as; entry and exit tones to be on or off when participants join the conference call, disconnect participants if the host is not present, and the caller count feature can be turned on or off. Keep in mind that Conference Preferences may not be set during a live conference call. Please login before your conference call begins and go to the Conference Preferences tab, set your preferred preferences and click Save. Below is all available preferences and explanations of each one:

  1. Entry & Exit Tones - Turn Entry and Exit chimes on/off when participants join or disconnect from the conference call.
  2. Wait for Host - Place participants on hold for a preset time before host joins the conference call. If host does not join the conference call, participants will be disconnected after the preset time expires.
  3. Continue without Host - Set to have the conference continue when host disconnect from the conference line or to continue for a preset time after host disconnects from the conference. After the set time expires, all participants will be dropped.
  4. Announce Caller Count & In-Call Caller Count Set to notify joining Hosts or Participants of how many callers are on the conference call. The *2 feature which lists the total number of caller(s) on the conference call can be set to on/off.
  5. Participant see all attendees  During a Screen Sharing session, disable participants from viewing the attendees list on the meeting console,.
  6. Participant see Active Speakers  During a Screen Sharing session, disable participant from viewing active speakers on the meeting console.
  7. Presenter transfer by participants - During a Screen Sharing session allow a participant to transfer presenter to other participants.

FreeConferencing.com's Online Web Controls

One of the many benefits offered with FreeConferencing.com is the ability to control the conference call using online web-based controls. To utilize this feature, sign up or login to your account. Once logged in, you will be directed to the 'Conference View' interface where you will have access to an array of tools, which include:

  • Live Conference - Click this to the 'on' position to connect to the conference line and enable the rest of the web-based commands. Once turned on, the Recording, Hold, Lock and Mute commands will display allowing you to control the entire conference by clicking on or off on each command.
